Ticketing Information

Terms of Application & Use for Monthly Ticket

The Transport Department approved fare for 2021-2026 Ferry Service Licence is HK$676.00 for Peng Chau, HK$777.00 for Yung Shue Wan and HK$827.00 for Sok Kwu Wan respectively.

1. A deposit of HK$40.00 will be charged for the Monthly Ticket (Ticket), such deposit will be refundable provided that the returned Ticket must remain functional and in good condition. Our company will only accept cash payment for Monthly Ticket application, and accept Octopus or cash payment for Monthly Ticket fee top-up.

2. A Monthly Ticket shall become invalid if it is lost or damaged, and the holder must report to our company immediately. For damaged Ticket, the applicant shall pay a replacement deposit of HK$40.00. For lost Ticket, the applicant shall pay a replacement deposit of HK$40.00 plus a non-refundable handling charge of HK$60.00. Our company will issue for replacement a new Monthly Ticket with the same value as the damaged or lost Monthly Ticket.

3. In no circumstances will any Monthly Ticket holder be entitled to any fare refund (whether in whole or in part). Deposit will only be refunded when the Ticket remains functional and in good condition upon return. Otherwise, the deposit paid will be treated as the compensation for maintenance costs, and such holder will have no right to demand any deposit refund.

4. The application period for the following month’s Monthly Ticket is from the 25th day of the month to the last day of the month; and the application period for the current month’s Monthly Ticket is from the 1st day of the month to the 10th day of the month. Applications that are not submitted within the relevant application periods will not be accepted.

5. Fee top-up service for Monthly Ticket is available on the last two days of the present month and the first two days of the following month (please refer to the announcement published from time to time). Monthly Ticket holders may top-up their Ticket fee of the following month at the designated locations and specified time by our company.

6. Monthly ticket is valid for one calendar month, i.e. from the first day of the month to the last day of the same month. The usage validity period cannot be altered or postponed.

7. This Monthly Ticket is a personalized Ticket and is not transferable. In case of any illegal use, our company will report to the police and confiscate the Ticket immediately. Moreover, such holder’s name will be recorded by the company and DISQUALIFIED FROM APPLYING FOR OR HOLDING ANY MONTHLY TICKET WITH OUR COMPANY thereafter.

8. The use of Monthly Ticket of Yung Shue Wan route is limited to travelling one round trip between Central and Yung Shue Wan per day only.

The use of Monthly Ticket of Sok Kwu Wan route is limited to travelling one round trip between Central and Sok Kwu Wan per day only.

The use of Monthly Ticket of Peng Chau route is limited to travelling one round trip between Central and Peng Chau per day on ordinary vessels only.

For any trips not covered by the Monthly Tickets, the holder shall pay usual adult fares.

9. The issuance of Monthly Ticket is subject to provision and verification of the applicant’s documents as required by our company, and our company reserves the right to make the final decision. Applicants shall abide by the decision of our company.

10. If there is any change in applicant’s personal data, the applicant must immediately contact Customer Service Hotline at 2815 6063.

11. Monthly Ticket issued by our company remains the property of our company and must be surrendered to our company upon demand.

Remarks: Upon receipt of duly completed application forms with sufficient supporting documents, it will require five working days for processing. This form and the Terms of Use are subject to change without prior notice (including any amendment affecting new application or Monthly Tickets already issued)

Terms of Application & Use for Student Monthly Ticket

The Transport Department approved fare for 2021-2026 Ferry Service Licence is HK$473.00 for Peng Chau, HK$543.00 for Yung Shue Wan and HK$579.00 for Sok Kwu Wan respectively.

1. Eligibility

An applicant for a Student Monthly Ticket must be a student under the following definitions:

“Student” refers to any person between the ages of 12 and 25 who is currently enrolled in a full-time day course offered by an Acceptable Institution in Hong Kong.  Students who have not yet reached 26 may apply. An applicant’s age is determined by the date the application is submitted.

“Full-time day course” refers to a day-time course, which normally requires the participant to attend an acceptable local institution for not less than 20 hours of academic instruction each week for 30 weeks or more in an academic year.

“Acceptable institution” refers to:

  • schools referred to in Section 2 of the Education Ordinance (Cap279);
  • registered schools that fall under Section 3 of the Education Ordinance (Cap279);
  • schools exempted from the Education Ordinance (Cap279) under sections 9(1)(a) and (1)(b);
  • the word school is defined in Section 3 of the Education Ordinance (Cap279);
  • other schools as may be approved from time to time by Hong Kong & Kowloon Ferry Limited;
  • private schools offering non-formal curriculum registered under the Education Ordinance (Cap279) are not included.

2. A deposit of HK$40.00 will be charged for the Student Monthly Ticket (Ticket), such deposit will be refundable provided that the returned Ticket must remain functional and in good condition. Moreover, our company will charge a non-refundable administrative fee of HK$40.00 for the issuance of the Student Monthly Ticket. Our company will only accept cash payment for Student Monthly Ticket application, and accept Octopus or cash payment for Student Monthly Ticket renewal or fee top-up.

Upon collecting the physical Student Monthly Ticket, holder can start to use the Ticket.

6. Fee top-up service for Student Monthly Ticket is available on the last two days of the present month and the first two days of the following month (please refer to the announcement published from time to time). Student Monthly Ticket holders may top-up their Ticket fee of the following month at the designated locations and specified time by our company.

7. Student Monthly Ticket is valid for one calendar month, i.e. from the first day of the month to the last day of the same month, subject to a maximum validity period of one school/academic year (see clause 11 below). The usage validity period cannot be altered or postponed.

8. This Student Monthly Ticket is a personalized Ticket and is not transferable. In case of any illegal use, our company will report to the police and confiscate the Ticket immediately. Moreover, such holder’s name will be recorded by the company and DISQUALIFIED FROM APPLYING FOR OR HOLDING ANY STUDENT MONTHLY TICKET WITH OUR COMPANY thereafter.

9. The use of Student Monthly Ticket of Yung Shue Wan route is limited to travelling one round trip between Central and Yung Shue Wan per day only.

The use of Student Monthly Ticket of Sok Kwu Wan route is limited to travelling one round trip between Central and Sok Kwu Wan per day only.

The use of Student Monthly Ticket of Peng Chau route is limited to travelling one round trip between Central and Peng Chau per day on ordinary vessels only.

For any trips not covered by the Student Monthly Tickets, the holder shall pay usual adult fares.

11. The maximum validity period for Student Monthly Ticket shall be one school/academic year. Successful applicants shall make a renewal application in September every year to renew the concession. If the applicant does not apply for renewal of the concession, his/her student monthly ticket will be invalidated, and the applicant must make a renewal application of the Student Monthly Ticket before he/she can continue to use his/her current student monthly ticket.

12. Applicants must top-up the fee for his/her Student Monthly Ticket and use the valid Student Monthly Ticket to take the ferry in order to enjoy the concession. Child fare is not available for use by students aged 12 or above.

13. If the applicant ceases to be a full-time day course student or the applicant is over the age of 25, the Student Monthly Ticket becomes invalid, but if the applicant reaches the age of 26 during a calendar month where he/she holds a valid Student Monthly Ticket, the Monthly Ticket will continue to remain valid for the remainder of that calendar month. If there is any change in applicant’s “Student” status (as defined in this terms) or personal data, the applicant must immediately contact Customer Service Hotline at 2815 6063.

14. Student Monthly Ticket issued by our company remains the property of our company and must be surrendered to our company upon demand.

15. The official receipt cannot be used as Student Monthly Ticket aboard to our ferries.

Terms of Application & Use for Student Escort Travel Concession

1. Applicant who wishes to apply for the Student Escort Travel Concession must apply for a NEW Monthly Ticket at the same time (regardless the applicant already holds a Monthly Ticket or not). The Student Escort Travel Concession can only be used on that new Monthly Ticket. The Student Escort Travel Concession cannot be applied to an existing Monthly Ticket. If the applicant already holds a Monthly Ticket, he/she can decide whether to return that existing Monthly Ticket. Return of existing Monthly Ticket must follow the Terms of Application & Use of Monthly Ticket.

2. Only (i) parents, (ii) relatives, (iii) guardians, or (iv) domestic helpers of full-time students studying in kindergarten, primary school or special school outside of Lamma Island/Peng Chau can apply for and use the Student Escort Travel Concession.

3. Each Monthly Ticket by itself only allows its holders to make ONE round trip on the specified route to/from Central per day. Holder of the Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession can make ONE EXTRA round trip on the specified route to/from Central per day for escorting the student to and from school.  For Peng Chau Route, monthly ticket is good for riding on ordinary vessels only.

4. The issuance of Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession is subject to the provision and verification of the applicant’s relevant proofs and documents as required by our company, and our company reserves the right to make the final decision. Applicants shall abide by the decision of our company.

5. The maximum validity period for the Student Escort Travel Concession shall be one school/academic year. Successful applicants shall make a renewal application in September every year. If the applicant does not apply for renewal of the concession, his/her Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession will be invalidated. Upon invalidation, the Monthly Ticket will be completely nullified (both the functions as an ordinary Monthly Ticket and/or the Monthly ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession). If the relevant applicant wishes to continue to use the Student Escort Travel Concession, the applicant must make relevant renewal application. If the applicant wishes to replace the Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession with an ordinary Monthly Ticket, he/she must make an application for the replacement of the Monthly Ticket.

6. For each full-time student, only ONE (i) parent, (ii) relative, (iii) guardian, or (iv) domestic helper can apply for and use the Student Escort Travel Concession (e.g. both father and mother cannot apply at the same time). After successful application, if a change of holder is required, the new holder shall make a new application, and the original holder shall at the same time return the Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession to our company and go through the relevant procedures. The effective date for any approved application for change of holder shall be the first day of the following calendar month upon approval.

7. Successful applicants must not use the Student Escort Travel Concession for any purpose other than escorting the student to school. Once improper use is found, such holder’s name will be recorded by our company and that holder will be DISQUALIFIED FROM APPLYING FOR OR HOLDING ANY STUDENT ESCORT TRAVEL CONCESSION WITH OUR COMPANY thereafter.

8. Applicants must top-up the fee for his/her Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession and use such valid Monthly Ticket to take the ferry so as to enjoy the concession.

9. If there is any change in applicant’s personal data or in the particulars of the subject student, the applicant must immediately contact our Customer Service Hotline at 2815 6063.

10. Monthly Ticket issued by our company remains as our property. The Monthly Ticket must be surrendered to our company upon demand.

Remarks:     Upon receipt of the duly completed application form with complete supporting documents, it will require five working days for processing. This form and the Terms of Use are subject to change without prior notice (including any amendment affecting new application or Monthly Tickets with Student Escort Travel Concession already issued).

Terms of Application & Use for Multi-Ride Ticket

The Transport Department approved fare for 2021-2026 Ferry Service Licence is HK$174.00 for Peng Chau, HK$195.00 for Yung Shue Wan and HK$242.00 for Sok Kwu Wan respectively.

 

1.  A deposit of HK$40.00 will be charged for the Multi-Ride Ticket (Ticket), such deposit will be refundable provided that the returned Ticket must remain functional and in good condition. Moreover, our company will charge a non-refundable administrative fee of HK$40.00 for the issuance of the Multi-Ride Ticket. Our company will only accept cash payment for Multi-Ride Ticket application, and accept Octopus or cash payment for Multi-Ride Ticket fee top-up.

2.  A Multi-Ride Ticket shall become invalid if it is lost or damaged, and the holder must report to our company immediately. For damaged Ticket, the applicant shall pay a replacement deposit of HK$40.00. For lost Ticket, the applicant shall pay a replacement deposit of HK$40.00 plus a non-refundable handling charge of HK$60.00. Our company will issue for replacement a new Multi-Ride Ticket with the same value, remaining day(s) and remaining trip(s) as the damaged or lost Multi-Ride Ticket.

3.  In no circumstances will any Multi-Ride Ticket holder be entitled to any fare refund (whether in whole or in part). Deposit will only be refunded when the Ticket remains functional and in good condition upon return. Otherwise, the deposit paid will be treated as the compensation for maintenance costs, and such holder will have no right to demand any deposit refund.

4.  Without prejudice to Clause 3, there will be no refund or re-issuance of the unused trip(s) of Multi-Ride Ticket when there is any misuse of the Ticket, and/or circumstances beyond the Company’s control such as suspension of service due to the severe weather, labour strike, accidents, etc.

5.  Multi-Ride Ticket is open for application all year round until further notice. It will require five working days for processing. Upon collecting the physical Multi-Ride Ticket, holder can start to use the Ticket.

6.  Multi-Ride Ticket holders shall top-up their Ticket fee at the designated locations and specified time by our company after riding 10-trip or completing 60-day validity period, whichever earlier.

7.  The maximum validity period of a Multi-Ride Ticket is 60-day commencing from the date of collecting the new Ticket or fee top-up for the existing Ticket (excluding Ticket replacement). The maximum validity period cannot be altered or extended.

8.  Upon the expiry of the validity period of a Multi-Ride Ticket, any unused trip therein will be immediately forfeited.

9.  This Multi-Ride Ticket is a personalized Ticket and is not transferable, each person can only hold one Multi-Ride Ticket for each route. A Multi-Ride Ticket and any top-up thereon can only be used for the original route of the Multi-Ride Ticket. If the holder wishes to have a Multi-Ride Ticket for another route, he/she must separately apply for a Multi-Ride Ticket for that route. In case of any illegal use, our company will report to the police and confiscate the Ticket immediately. Moreover, such holder’s name will be recorded by the company and DISQUALIFIED FROM APPLYING FOR OR HOLDING ANY MULTI-RIDE TICKET WITH OUR COMPANY thereafter.

10.  The coverage of the Multi-Ride Ticket of each route is as follows:

 

Yung Shue Wan route

The use of Multi-Ride Ticket of Yung Shue Wan route is limited to the travelling between Central and Yung Shue Wan. It includes 10 one-way trips for adults and is subject to a maximum validity period of 60 days. Each Multi-Ride Ticket can only be used once for each sailing. Travelling direction is not restricted.

Sok Kwu Wan route

The use of Multi-Ride Ticket of Sok Kwu Wan route is limited to the travelling between Central and Sok Kwu Wan. It includes 10 one-way trips for adults and is subject to a maximum validity period of 60 days. Each Multi-Ride Ticket can only be used once for each sailing. Travelling direction is not restricted.

Peng Chau route

The use of Multi-Ride Ticket of Peng Chau route is limited to the travelling between Central and Peng Chau on ordinary ferries. It includes 10 one-way trips for adults on ordinary ferries and is subject to a maximum validity period of 60 days. Each Multi-Ride Ticket can only be used once for each sailing. Travelling direction is not restricted. If used for fast ferry service, the holder must pay the top-up fare.

 

For any trips not covered by the Multi-Ride Tickets, the holder shall pay usual adult fares.

 

11.  Once the holder has entered the gate of the pier, the holder must travel on the current sailing at the time of entry. Even if the holder does not take the trip, a trip of the Multi-Ride Ticket is deemed used once the holder has entered the gate including the paid top-up fare. If the holder wishes to travel on any subsequent sailing for any reason, the holder must pay the usual adult fare or utilise another trip on the Multi-Ride Ticket (and pay any top-up fare in accordance with Clause 10) for such subsequent sailing and each sailing between the current sailing and such subsequent sailing.

12.  The issuance of Multi-Ride Ticket is subject to provision and verification of the applicant’s documents as required by our company, and our company reserves the right to make the final decision. Applicants shall abide by the decision of our company.

13.  If there is any change in applicant’s personal data, the applicant must immediately contact Customer Service Hotline at 2815 6063.

14.  Multi-Ride Ticket issued by our company remains the property of our company and must be surrendered to our company upon demand.

15.  The official receipt cannot be used as Multi-Ride Ticket aboard to our ferries.

Personal Data Collection

You agree that all the personal information and data provided in this application form and all information relating to the use of your Personalized Monthly Ticket/Student Monthly Ticket/Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession/Multi-Ride Ticket may be used by us for (a) processing Monthly Ticket/Student Monthly Ticket/Monthly Ticket with Student Escort Travel Concession/Multi-Ride Ticket application of our ferry service; (b)communication by us to you; (c) investigation of complaints, suspected suspicious transactions as well as verification and updating any personal information retained by us; (d) prevention or detection of crime; (e) conducting legal action and other dispute resolution procedures; (f) disclosure as required by law or court order.

Data held by us relating to you will be kept confidential by us, but you agree that for the purposes set out in the above paragraphs, we may transfer or disclose such information to the following parties under a duty of confidentiality to us (whether within or outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”) as permitted by the laws of Hong Kong): our subsidiaries and our affiliates.

You have the right to: (a) check whether we hold data about you and to have access to that data; (b) require us to correct any data relating to you which is inaccurate; and (c) ascertain our policies and practices in relation to personal data and to be informed of the kind of personal data held by us.

We reserve the right to charge you a reasonable fee for processing any request for access to your personal data.

Any request for access to data or correction of data or for information regarding our policies and practices and kinds of data held by us should be made in writing addressed to: Administrative Officer, Hong Kong & Kowloon Ferry Limited, Pier 4, New Reclamation, Central District, Hong Kong.

In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
