“Central – Yung Shue Wan” Resumption of Normal Sailing Schedule (Revised Version)

To tie in with the Government’s announcement that the classes will resume in phases for different schools, the temporarily adjusted ferry sailings of “Central and Yung Shue Wan” service during weekdays from Mondays to Fridays will resume normal starting from 20 May 2020 (Wednesday).  Details are as follows:

HKKF's preventive measures on combating “COVID-19”

To combat “COVID-19” in Hong Kong, HKKF has taken the corresponding preventive measures as follows:

 

  1. HKKF has enhanced the cleaning of piers, ferry cabin and air-conditioning systems with antiseptic solution or diluted bleach solution. 
  2. Alcohol-based hand rub (ABHR) dispensers have been installed at the ferry piers for passengers and frontline staffs.
  3. HKKF has posted related notices and increased new broadcast in vessels and piers to remind passengers to wear face mask, maintain good personal hygiene, etc.
  4. To prevent the spread of germs, frontline staff is required to wear face mask when on duty.

Registration reminder for Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme

To cope with the implementation of Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme on 1 January 2019, passenger should take note of the following hyperlinks when buying holiday return ticket, monthly ticket for Yung Shue Wan Line, Sok Kwu Wan Line and Peng Chau Line as well as upgrade to fast ferry for Peng Chau Line in order to early perform the registration to link up relevant expenses with Octopus record for calculation of total public transport expenses and subsidy amount under the scheme.

Restrictions on Pets on board Ferry Vessels

Pet carriers can only use the seats of the first two rows in main deck and pets cannot occupy any seats.

Small dogs or animals have to be caged and large dogs must be on a lead with muzzle on if brought aboard ferries. Our company will charge for such a service and our company reserved the right of provision for such a service.

Pets must be carried in a secure container or suitably restrained and muzzled during the journey on board ferry vessels in accordance with Chapter 104A Regulation 17 of Ferry Services Regulations shown as follows:

 

“Restriction on Animals on Ferry Vessels”

No person shall take a dog, bird or other animal in or onto a ferry vessel in use on a licensed service or pier or other place reserved for embarkation of passengers using a licensed service unless-

 

(a)  the dog, bird or other animal is suitably restrained or caged; and

(b) the person desiring to take the dog, bird or other animal on board the ferry vessel has first obtained the approval of a member of the staff of the licensee.

 

Any person who contravenes the above regulation commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $2,000. Thank you for your cooperation.
